Waterford Kenneth Willetts will resign from the Waterford-Halfmoon Board of Education tonight, having accepted a job in Georgia, Superintendent Carl Klossner said.
Willetts, a graduate of Union College and a father of five, received a promotion from the financial firm in which he works, Klossner said.
His resignation, effective Friday, means the Board of Education must appoint someone to the seat or hold another election to fill it. The board meets at 7 tonight in the library to discuss how to fill the seat.
