New bus service gets moving: ; Joint effort features buses with bike racks,; Internet, newspapers

The new bus route between Huntington and Charleston made itsdebut - not exactly on time but with a full load of passengers.

The bus was scheduled to pull into the state Capitol at 8 a.m.Monday, outside Building 5, for its final stop of the morning. Itwound up pulling up at 8:23 a.m., a delay attributed to traffic andpress coverage that occurred before the bus ever left Huntington.

One of the riders, 59-year-old Ryan Hatten of Huntington, hadsecured his bicycle to the front of the bus. After the bus pulled inat the Capitol, Hatten started pedaling away on his bike.
